Steve has served as pastor of churches in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. After almost forty years, he retired from full-time pastoral ministry. His last pastorate was New Horizon Community Church in Lancaster, SC, where he served as founding pastor. Steve is now available for pulpit supply, interim work, revivals and marriage retreats.

Steve is currently teaching at Fruitland Baptist Bible College, located in Hendersonville, NC. He has also taught seminary extension courses.

Steve and his wife, Teresa, have been married since 1973. They have three children and six grandchildren. They have served the Lord together in ministry for over forty years.

Steve’s educational credentials include the following:

• Th.D. from Trinity Theological Seminary;
• M.Div. from Criswell College;
• M.A. in Biblical Studies from Criswell College;
• B.A. in Biblical Studies from Wingate College (now University);
• A.A. from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute (now College);
• Steve won the prestigious American Bible Societies award for the Most Outstanding Student in the Hebrew language;
• Steve won the prestigious American Bible Societies award for the Most Outstanding Student in the Greek language.
