I guess we should have figured this would happen, so I assume it didn’t take us by surprise. I mean, when the Supreme Court of the USA takes it upon itself to redefine marriage, it only stands to reason that the floodgates would open wide for every deviant, alternative lifestyle, and every conceivable, or even inconceivable, practice would be forced upon us. The door is now open, or better yet, the door has been completely removed, and now anybody and everybody is forcing anything and everything on the unsuspecting public.
A graphic case in point occurred in the city of Charlotte, NC. The city council passed an ordinance which now allows anyone, of either sex, to frequent any public restroom, male or female. So, now, if a person who identifies himself/herself as a transgender or bisexual, they are free to make use of the public facility of their choice. This means that our sons and daughters, and our grandsons and grand-daughters, are going to be forced to accept the possibility of using a public restroom in a public place, and will perhaps be using that restroom facility with someone of the opposite sex.
This, to me, is sheer lunacy and complete insanity. Why must we relinquish our right of, and need for, the expectancy of decency for our children. I, for one, do not want my grand-daughter to be exposed to the private parts of a man, because in his mind he “feels” like a female. Why should he have the right to traumatize young girls with the exposure of his “maleness” just because he “feels” different? For the sake of everything decent, regardless of whether you “feel” opposite of the way God created you, at least have the decency to protect the innocent minds and hearts of boys and girls who would experience emotional trauma and mental anguish because you “feel” like it.
Let’s face it: regardless of how you “feel,” you are either male or female. If you insist on living out your fantasy of being something other than what you are, do it with respect for others. You are demanding your rights, but what about mine? Do mine have to be completely destroyed for the sake of an extremely small percentage of the American people just because you “feel” different?
Scripture teaches that God created us male and female. He did not create a hybrid, somewhere-in-the-middle, mix and match form of humanity. His Word forbids sexual deviancy in all of its forms: homosexuality, bisexualism, transgenderism, pre-marital sexual activity, extra-marital sexual activity, just to name a few. You have every right to your personal belief and practice regardless of what I might believe. But, you have no right to your personal belief and practice if it goes against the moorings of human decency.
Do what you wish, practice whatever lifestyle you choose, but don’t force others to agree with you, and to be exposed to indecent behavior. I promise you, I will not try to force my Christian beliefs on you, even though I will be quick to share those beliefs, believing that the testimony of Scripture is our only source of absolute truth, and that we will all be accountable to God Himself for how we either obeyed, or disobeyed, the clear teachings of His Word.
